This February, Deborah will release her third album of spiritual music, activating a new collection of songs designed for communal uplift, spiritual sustenance, reverent joy, and inspired by the creative and relational nature of the beit midrash.. Anchored by an ensemble of gifted musicians leading the folk, jazz, and world music scenes and supported by a community nigun circle, Deborah brings eleven new melodies rooted in the liturgy of Jewish tradition to life.
Yetzira

Yetzira is a collection of new melodies paired with evocative texts from diverse corners of Jewish liturgical tradition. This record dances and journeys through themes of wonder and blessing, rest and redemption, yearning and sorrow, integration and compassion, memory and renewal. And in the middle - one wordless nigun, the unboundaried and untethered notes of a melody, soaring unhindered by the limitations of text.

Deborah offers a collection of songs written for moments of introspection and elation, joy and brokenness, communal singing and heart-opening prayer. These songs employ both traditional texts and the meditative practice of the nigun—the wordless melody—to search for access to that which we may struggle to seek.
